
About the Founder
Jessica Rosa Espinoza, educator and playwright/ lyricist, has experience in the elementary school classroom, as well as experience working both in the middle and high school classroom too. She is a doctoral candidate in the area of curriculum and design. She holds a Masters in Educational Theatre from C.U.N.Y's City College of New York.
She is a state certified teacher in both Georgia and New York in the area of Theatre Education. In addition, Jessica is GA certified in Early Childhood Education, grades K-5. Jessica has worked in teaching and consulting for various organizations during her career, including Harvard Project Zero, the Alliance Theatre, Young Audiences, Savannah College of Art & Design, Centre for Puppetry Arts, Horizon Theater, ArtsNow Learning, Woodruff Arts Center, GA Tech CEISMC, University of North Georgia, and Cobb Energy Center’s Arts Bridge.
Jessica’s career in education began as a high school theatre teacher and then evolved into entering the first grade classroom teaching in East Harlem NY. She now works providing professional learning for fine arts teachers and developing arts integration and STEAM curricular support for teachers.
DreamBox Theatre Musicals aim to engage school communities in arts integration and STEAM through cross disciplinary learning. DreamBox also writes bilingual productions for dual immersion and international communities abroad.
Jessica worked professionally in the field of live theatre as an actress. She has performed in regional theaters all over the country. Her favorite theatre experience as an actress involved performing in a 50 city national tour in Strega Nona, the Musical! The musical was based on the beloved children’s book series by award-winning author Tomie DePaola.
